On 24-25 November 2018 the Basel Hackathon takes place in Basel, Switzerland. The event is organized by the non-profit organization BaselHack. It consists of 22 experts from different backgrounds and organizations from the Basel region and was created due to their passion for technology. This event’s goal is to inspire talents, thinkers and creative spirits to work together in order to create and develop solutions for the region. After the 30 hour weekend the experts present running prototypes.

openIMIS will be presented by Dragos Dobre (Swiss TPH), Alexandre Vanobberghen (Swiss TPH) and Siddharth Srivastava (Swiss TPH) through a pitch dealing with the use of openIMIS as an insurance management software solution in rural Tanzania.
