The openIMIS regional hub Africa Jembi Health Systems will host a webinar on “Achieving Universal Health Coverage: Key considerations regarding the use of EHRs” on March 5, 2019 at 2 PM CET. Lourens Walter (PHISC HER Subcommittee) will host the webinar with Dr Selaelo Mametja (South African Medical Association) and Prof Shabir Moosa (World Organisation of Family Doctors) as speakers. The goal of the webinar is to provide an overview of UHC as it relates to the South African National Health Insurance (NHI) plan, the concept of using capitation to enable scaling of Primary Health Services (PHC) within national health systems, the EHR requirements to support capitation reimbursement, as well es ethical and legal framework for electronic health records.
